HPA Hosts “Out of Africa” Social Event

This fun and festive event at Ethiopian Love in Chinatown was an enjoyable one for HPA members, guests, and friends.  Red and white wines were paired with delectable Ethiopian dishes such as Sambussas, Timatim Salad, Romi, Doro Wot, Awaze Wot, Love Shiro, Quinoa, Baklava, and Injera (made of Teff flour).  While enjoying delicious food and drink, games centered around the Disney film “The Lion King” were played and skits were performed while being accompanied by live music on traditional African instruments.  Gift card prizes were awarded to the winners of the games and skits, and the attendees enjoyed an evening of fellowship, laughter, and an enlightening introduction to Ethiopian culture.  Thank you to all of the attendees for making this Pau Hana a highlight of HPA’s 2016 calendar of events!
