PRESIDENT
The President is the chief executive officer of HPA.

VICE PRESIDENT
The Vice President performs all of the President’s duties if the president is absent or disabled.

TREASURER
The Treasurer is responsible for all of the funds of HPA.

SECRETARY
The Secretary is responsible to duly record the minutes of the proceedings of all meetings of the members and of the Board of Directors.

NFPA REPRESENTATIVES
The NFPA (National Federation of Paralegal Associations) Representatives represent HPA at NFPA’s annual meeting. There is a Primary Representative and a Secondary Representative.

DIRECTOR OF JOB BANK COMMITTEE
The Job Bank Committee Director is responsible for the job referrals from prospective employers to HPA paralegals.

DIRECTOR OF MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEE
The Membership Committee Director is responsible for HPA membership recruitment, for maintenance and reporting of membership data, and for the production of the membership directory.

DIRECTOR OF NEWSLETTER COMMITTEE
The Newsletter Committee Director is responsible for providing newsworthy information through the quarterly newsletter publication to HPA members on paralegal issues and activities, locally and nationally, and on other issues affecting the legal profession.

DIRECTOR OF PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE
The Professional Development Committee Director is responsible for coordinating and arranging programs, activities, and seminars of interest to the paralegal profession

DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC RELATIONS COMMITTEE
The Public Relations Committee Director is responsible for disseminating promotional materials or information to attract public interest or recognition to HPA.

DIRECTOR OF PRO BONO COMMITTEE
The Pro Bono Committee Director acts as a liaison with law related and other organizations that utilize paralegals in pro bono services.

DIRECTOR OF STANDARDS COMMITTEE
The Standards Committee Director researches matters affecting the paralegal profession, and makes recommendations for Board approval. Such matters include accreditation, certification, licensure, and ethics.

BOARD ADVISORY COUNCIL
The Board Advisory Council advises the Board of Directors on various matters as deemed necessary by the Board.
