NATURALIZATION FAIR
Saturday, May 26, 2012, at the State Capitol from 8 a.m.-1 p.m.
The Naturalization Fair, sponsored by the combined efforts of the Immigration Justice Center, Volunteer Legal Services Hawaii and other legal entities. The event is coordinated to assist immigrants obtain legal status and the assistance needed to legalize their residence in the U.S. Last year over 14 attorneys, 4 paralegals and other volunteers assisted 30 clients who attended the fair contributing over $60,000 worth of legal services.
To volunteer all that is required is a willing spirit, training and printed materials will be provided. To volunteer EMAIL Marissa Llamido at Legal Aid Society of Hawaii.
Volunteer Guardian Ad Litem Program (VGAL)
The VGAL Program is sponsored by the Hawaii State Judiciary’s Family Court-Kapolei. This Guardian Ad Litem Program which advocates for neglected and abused children is one of the many programs held nationwide also known as CASA (http://www.casanet.org/), the National Court Appointed Special Advocate Association.
